1. Purpose

American Fashion TV (“AFTV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may allow visitors to create accounts to comment on articles, participate in discussions, interact with content, manage preferences, or use other community and contributor features.

This Account and Community Participation Policy (“Account Policy”) explains:

Who may create an account;
How accounts may be created and managed;
The responsibilities of account holders;
Rules for comments and other user-submitted content;
How AFTV may moderate content and conduct;
How artificial intelligence may assist moderation;
How AFTV may manage, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts; and
How future account types may be introduced.

This Account Policy supplements AFTV’s:

By creating an account or participating in an AFTV community feature, you agree to this Account Policy and the other applicable policies.

2. Scope

This Account Policy applies to any account, profile, credential, comment, discussion, reaction, submission, or community feature controlled by AFTV.

It applies regardless of whether the feature is delivered through:

WordPress;
An AFTV website or subdomain;
A mobile or web application;
A membership or contributor platform;
A third-party service operating for AFTV; or
Technology introduced in the future.

Independent social-media platforms and third-party websites maintain their own account and moderation policies. This Account Policy does not govern accounts created directly with those independent services.

3. Nature of AFTV’s community

AFTV is a privately operated editorial publication. Its comment areas and discussion features are curated extensions of its editorial environment. They are not public forums operated by a government entity.

AFTV may establish the subjects, tone, format, availability, and participation rules for its community features.

AFTV does not promise viewpoint neutrality, equal distribution, publication of every lawful comment, or continued access to a particular discussion. We may make editorial and moderation decisions intended to support the quality, safety, relevance, and operation of the Services.

AFTV may:

Open or close comments on any article;
Limit discussion to particular topics;
Hold comments for review;
Restrict replies or links;
Highlight or deprioritize comments;
Lock or archive discussions;
Remove a discussion feature; or
Decline to provide community features entirely.

4. Current and future account types

AFTV may offer different account types with different permissions, responsibilities, eligibility requirements, and terms.

These may include:

Registered reader accounts

Basic accounts may allow users to:

Submit comments;
Reply to discussions;
Manage a display name or limited profile;
Save preferences;
Receive account-related notifications; or
Use other reader features made available by AFTV.

Contributor accounts

Contributor accounts may allow approved individuals to draft or submit editorial content. Creating or receiving a contributor account does not grant authority to publish content without editorial approval.

Contributor access may require:

Identity or credential verification;
A contributor agreement;
Editorial approval;
Rights and originality representations;
Tax or payment information;
Security requirements; or
Additional policies and training.

Author, editor, moderator, or staff accounts

Accounts with elevated permissions may be limited to authorized personnel and may require additional agreements, confidentiality obligations, security controls, and internal policies.

Member, partner, or other accounts

AFTV may introduce memberships, professional profiles, event access, partner portals, subscriber benefits, or other account categories.

The creation of an account type does not guarantee that it will remain available. AFTV may add, rename, combine, divide, modify, restrict, or discontinue account types or permissions without revising this policy for every operational change.

A specific contributor, employment, advertising, membership, or commercial agreement will control if it conflicts with this general Account Policy.

5. Permission to create an account

Account registration is a request for limited access to AFTV’s Services. Registration does not create an ownership interest, permanent entitlement, employment relationship, partnership, agency relationship, accreditation, or right to publish.

AFTV may:

Approve or decline registration;
Require email confirmation;
Require additional verification;
Delay account activation;
Limit available features;
Place an account in moderation;
Require acceptance of updated policies; or
Withdraw account access.

Automated registration or activation does not prevent later review, restriction, or termination.

Account access is personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and subject to AFTV’s policies.

6. Age requirements

AFTV accounts are not intended for children under 16.

To create an account, you must:

Be at least 16 years old;
Meet any higher minimum age required where you live; and
If you are under the age of legal majority, have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Do not create an account if you do not meet these requirements.

AFTV does not undertake a general obligation to independently verify every user’s age. We may request age or identity information where reasonably necessary or legally required.

If we learn that an ineligible child created an account or provided personal information, we may suspend the account and delete or restrict associated information, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention needs.

A parent or guardian who believes a child created an account in violation of this policy should contact [INSERT PRIVACY EMAIL].

7. Registration information

You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and not misleading.

Depending on the account type, AFTV may request or process:

Username;
Display name;
Email address;
Password or authentication credentials;
Profile image;
Biography or interests;
Website or social-media links;
Professional affiliation;
Age or eligibility confirmation;
Account role and permissions;
Consent and policy-acceptance records;
Login, device, IP-address, and security information;
Comments and other Community Content;
Moderation and enforcement history; and
Additional information needed for a specific account role.

You must update material account information when it changes.

Do not provide false identity, credential, employment, age, or affiliation information.

8. Usernames, display names, and profiles

AFTV may allow you to choose a username or public display name.

Your username, display name, profile image, biography, comments, and other profile elements may be publicly visible. Your email address will not ordinarily be displayed publicly unless you choose to publish it or a feature clearly states otherwise.

You may not use account information that:

Impersonates another person or organization;
Falsely implies verification, employment, or endorsement;
Infringes a trademark, copyright, publicity right, or other right;
Contains contact information belonging to another person;
Is deceptive, abusive, threatening, hateful, obscene, or unlawful;
Promotes a product, service, website, or campaign without permission;
Creates confusion with AFTV, its staff, or another account; or
Circumvents a prior restriction or suspension.

AFTV may reject, change, reclaim, or require modification of a username, display name, profile image, or other account identifier.

Usernames and account identifiers do not become the property of account holders.

9. Account security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your password;
Using a reasonably secure and unique password;
Protecting devices used to access the account;
Keeping account contact information current;
Not sharing or transferring the account;
Preventing unauthorized use; and
Promptly reporting suspected compromise.

Notify staff@maga-zine.com if you believe an account has been accessed without authorization.

AFTV may require a password reset, email verification, multifactor authentication, additional verification, or other security steps.

AFTV is not responsible for losses resulting from your failure to secure an account, except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

We may restrict an account when we detect or suspect compromise, automated abuse, credential sharing, fraud, or other security risk.

10. No account sharing or transfer

An account may be used only by the person or authorized organization for which it was created.

You may not:

Sell, rent, sublicense, transfer, or give away an account;
Share credentials with another person;
Create an account for someone without authorization;
Use another person’s account;
Maintain accounts to evade enforcement;
Automate account creation; or
create multiple deceptive or coordinated accounts.

Organizational, contributor, or staff accounts may be subject to separate authorized-access rules.

11. Community Content

“Community Content” includes comments, replies, usernames, profile information, links, images, reactions, reports, feedback, and other material submitted through an account or community feature.

You retain any ownership rights you have in original Community Content.

By submitting Community Content for public display, you grant AFTV a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to:

Host, store, reproduce, display, publish, and distribute it;
Format, resize, excerpt, translate, caption, or technically adapt it;
Moderate, review, classify, and analyze it;
Display it with your username or public profile;
Make it available through the Services;
Preserve it for security, evidentiary, archival, or legal purposes;
Promote or describe the AFTV discussion in which it appears; and
Exercise other rights reasonably necessary to operate, improve, protect, or publicize the Services.

This license continues for as long as the Community Content remains on the Services and for a reasonable period in backups, records, archives, syndicated materials, or previously created promotional material.

Deleting an account does not necessarily delete or withdraw all previously published Community Content. AFTV may retain, anonymize, attribute, remove, or continue displaying it where permitted by law.

You represent that you possess the rights and permissions necessary to submit the Community Content and grant this license.

12. Responsibility for Community Content

You are solely responsible for Community Content you submit.

Community Content does not necessarily reflect AFTV’s views. Publication, moderation, highlighting, or failure to remove Community Content does not constitute AFTV’s endorsement, verification, or adoption of it.

You should not rely on comments or community discussions as verified facts or professional advice.

AFTV does not guarantee:

The accuracy of Community Content;
The identity or qualifications of an account holder;
That an account belongs to the person it claims to represent;
That a comment is original;
That endorsements or commercial relationships have been disclosed;
That harmful or misleading content will be detected immediately; or
That every discussion will remain available.

13. Community standards

AFTV encourages relevant, substantive, and respectful discussion.

Community Content may be restricted or removed if AFTV believes it includes or facilitates:

Threats and harmful conduct

Credible threats;
Incitement or encouragement of violence;
Harassment, stalking, or targeted abuse;
Celebration or encouragement of serious harm;
Instructions facilitating dangerous or illegal conduct; or
Content creating a material safety risk.

Hate and dehumanizing content

Attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or another protected characteristic;
Slurs or dehumanizing comparisons;
Advocacy of exclusion, segregation, or violence; or
Targeted degradation of a protected group.

Good-faith reporting, criticism, quotation, or discussion of hateful conduct may be permitted when context makes the purpose clear.

Privacy violations

Home addresses, private telephone numbers, personal email addresses, or financial information;
Government identification or account credentials;
Private medical or family information;
Nonpublic information intended to facilitate harassment;
Intimate material shared without authorization; or
Personal information concerning a child.

Sexual exploitation and protection of minors

Sexual exploitation or abuse;
Sexual content involving minors;
Grooming or predatory conduct;
Requests for sexual material from minors; or
Content that unlawfully sexualizes or endangers a child.

Suspected child sexual abuse material may be reported to appropriate authorities as required by law.

Fraud and deception

Impersonation;
Phishing or social engineering;
Fake giveaways or investment schemes;
Manipulated or synthetic media presented deceptively;
Fabricated credentials;
Coordinated inauthentic behavior;
False claims intended to cause harm; or
Misrepresentation of affiliation with AFTV or another organization.

Intellectual property violations

Copyright-infringing material;
Unauthorized photographs, videos, articles, or designs;
Trademark misuse;
Unauthorized distribution of paid or restricted content; or
Removal of ownership or attribution information.

Spam and commercial solicitation

Repetitive or irrelevant comments;
Undisclosed advertising;
Affiliate links;
Promotional links;
Lead generation;
Recruitment schemes;
Automated posting;
Search-engine manipulation; or
Commercial solicitation without AFTV’s permission.

Disruption and low quality participation

Comments unrelated to the article or discussion;
Repeated posting of substantially identical material;
Deliberate provocation or thread disruption;
Excessive capitalization or formatting;
Link dumping;
Attempts to dominate or derail discussion;
False reports or abuse of reporting tools; or
Content that materially reduces the usefulness of the discussion.

Unlawful or restricted content

Material that violates applicable law;
Instructions to commit wrongdoing;
Defamation;
Unlawful discrimination;
Unauthorized controlled-product promotion;
Malware or harmful code;
Material violating a court order; or
Other content creating legal or operational risk.

This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive. AFTV may act on content or conduct not specifically listed when it believes action is reasonably necessary to protect the Services, users, AFTV, or third parties.

14. Discussion of fashion, health, and body-related topics

Fashion discussions may involve bodies, appearance, beauty, health, wellness, medications, weight, cosmetic procedures, or mental health.

Users may not:

Harass or shame individuals based on appearance or body characteristics;
Diagnose another user;
Encourage eating disorders, self-harm, or unsafe practices;
Present individualized medical advice as professional guidance;
Promote prescription medication unlawfully;
Make deceptive health or treatment claims; or
Target a vulnerable person with harmful recommendations.

AFTV may restrict health-related discussions more cautiously because inaccurate or harmful statements may carry heightened risk.

Community Content is not medical or professional advice.

15. Moderation approach

AFTV may moderate Community Content before or after publication.

Moderation may include:

Automated spam filtering;
AI-assisted classification or risk scoring;
Keyword, link, or pattern detection;
Holding content for review;
Human review;
User reports;
Account-history review;
Rate limits;
Visibility restrictions;
Comment closure;
Content removal; and
Account enforcement.

AFTV is not obligated to monitor every account, comment, discussion, link, or submission.

The presence of moderation does not mean AFTV has reviewed or approved all visible content. The absence of immediate enforcement does not mean content is permitted.

AFTV may prioritize moderation based on severity, recency, visibility, available resources, legal obligations, and other operational considerations.

Moderation may not be consistent in every case. Different content may receive different treatment because of context, available evidence, risk, legal requirements, or changes in enforcement practices.

16. AI-assisted moderation

AFTV may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, third party moderation services, or similar technologies to assist with:

Detecting spam, malware, and fraudulent links;
Identifying potentially abusive or prohibited language;
Classifying comments by topic or risk;
Detecting repeated or coordinated behavior;
Prioritizing material for human review;
Translating or summarizing content;
Enforcing rate or participation limits;
Identifying possible policy violations; and
Supporting account-security decisions.

AI-assisted moderation can make mistakes. It may:

Misinterpret satire, quotation, context, or cultural language;
Fail to identify harmful content;
Incorrectly restrict permitted content;
Produce inconsistent results;
Reflect limitations or bias; or
Be affected by attempts to evade detection.

AFTV does not guarantee that every automated decision will receive advance human review.

Human review may be used when AFTV considers it appropriate, reasonably practicable, or legally required. Users may request review through an available appeal or contact process, but a request does not guarantee reversal or reinstatement.

Information processed through moderation systems is also governed by AFTV’s Privacy Policy and AI Policy.

17. Moderation actions

AFTV may take one or more actions, including:

Approving or rejecting a comment;
Holding it for review;
Requesting clarification;
Adding a warning, context, or label;
Removing links or attachments;
Correcting formatting;
Limiting visibility;
Closing replies;
Removing content;
Restricting posting frequency;
Requiring re-verification;
Temporarily suspending an account;
Permanently terminating an account;
Preventing creation of replacement accounts;
Preserving relevant evidence;
Referring a matter to a service provider, rights holder, or authority; or
Taking another action reasonably related to operating or protecting the Services.

AFTV is not required to use the least restrictive action.

AFTV will not ordinarily rewrite the substantive meaning of a user’s comment and attribute the rewritten statement to that user. We may make technical or formatting adjustments, remove prohibited portions, or publish an edited excerpt where the change is evident or authorized.

18. Notice and appeals

AFTV may notify an account holder of a moderation or account decision through:

An on-screen message;
Account status;
Email;
A comment-status indicator;
A general policy notice; or
Another reasonable method.

Except where required by law, AFTV does not guarantee:

Advance notice;
A detailed explanation;
An opportunity to correct a violation;
An appeal;
A response within a particular period; or
Restoration of removed content or access.

Where an appeal process is available, submit the appeal to staff@maga-zine.com and include:

Username;
Relevant content or URL;
Date of the decision;
Explanation of why the decision should be reconsidered; and
Supporting context.

Repeated, abusive, fraudulent, or substantially identical appeals may be closed without further response.

Nothing in this section limits rights or procedures required by applicable law.

19. Reporting content or conduct

Users may report suspected violations to staff@maga-zine.com.

A report should identify:

The content or account;
The applicable URL;
The reason for the report;
Any immediate safety concern; and
Supporting information.

Do not submit false or retaliatory reports.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal, account action, disclosure of an investigation, or a particular response.

If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, contact the appropriate emergency authority rather than relying solely on AFTV’s reporting process.

20. Account suspension and termination

AFTV may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account if we reasonably believe:

The account or user violated an AFTV policy;
Registration information is false or misleading;
The account creates a legal, safety, security, or operational risk;
The account has been compromised;
The user attempted to evade enforcement;
The account is being used for spam or automation;
A rights holder or authority submitted a valid request;
Continued access could harm AFTV, users, or third parties; or
The applicable account type or feature has been discontinued.

Serious or repeated conduct may result in immediate permanent termination.

Termination of one account may result in restriction of associated accounts, email addresses, devices, network identifiers, or other reasonably related access methods.

AFTV may retain information about suspended or terminated accounts to prevent abuse, investigate incidents, resolve disputes, comply with law, or enforce its policies.

21. Inactive accounts

AFTV may consider an account inactive based on login, posting, verification, or other activity.

AFTV may:

Send a reactivation notice;
Require renewed verification;
Restrict inactive accounts;
Reclaim usernames;
Archive account information;
Anonymize associated content; or
Delete an inactive account.

AFTV does not promise to retain an unused account for any minimum period.

Where required by law, personal information will be handled according to the Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.

22. Account deletion

You may request account deletion through your profile settings.

Deletion may result in loss of:

Account access;
Profile information;
Saved preferences;
Draft material;
Account history; and
Features associated with the account.

Account deletion may not automatically remove all Community Content. AFTV may retain or continue displaying comments:

Under the existing display name;
Under an anonymized label;
As part of an archived discussion;
Where necessary to preserve the coherence of a conversation;
Where another legal basis permits retention; or
Where retention is required for security, legal, or evidentiary purposes.

Information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, moderation systems, legal records, or third-party systems.

Privacy-rights requests are handled under the Privacy Policy. Account deletion and personal-data erasure are related but are not necessarily the same process.

23. Data associated with accounts

AFTV may process account information for purposes including:

Registration and authentication;
Providing community features;
Displaying profiles and comments;
Moderation and enforcement;
Preventing fraud and abuse;
Security and troubleshooting;
Communications;
Analytics and service improvement;
Maintaining consent and policy records;
Complying with law; and
Establishing or defending legal claims.

Information may be processed by WordPress, hosting providers, security tools, moderation services, communications providers, AI providers, and other service providers operating for AFTV.

Additional details, legal bases, retention practices, disclosures, international transfers, and privacy rights are described in AFTV’s Privacy Policy.

24. Public nature of participation

Comments, usernames, profile images, biographies, reactions, and other Community Content may be public and searchable.

Public content may be:

Indexed by search engines;
Quoted by other users;
Captured in screenshots;
Shared through social media;
Stored by web archives;
Processed by third parties; or
Preserved after deletion from AFTV.

AFTV cannot control copies made by other people or independent services.

Do not include information in a public profile or comment that you do not want made public.

Community discussions are not confidential communications with AFTV.

25. Account communications

AFTV may send service-related communications necessary to manage an account, including:

Verification messages;
Password resets;
Security alerts;
Policy or account notices;
Moderation notifications;
Replies or discussion activity;
Changes affecting account access; and
Administrative messages.

These communications are not necessarily marketing and may be sent while an account remains active.

Newsletters, promotional email, and marketing text messages will be subject to the applicable consent and opt-out terms.

Account holders are responsible for maintaining an email address capable of receiving important notices.

26. Contributor and elevated accounts

Access to a contributor, author, editor, moderator, partner, or staff account does not by itself:

Guarantee publication;
Create employment;
Create an agency or partnership;
Authorize representation of AFTV;
Grant ownership of AFTV material;
Provide permanent access;
Establish compensation; or
Permit the user to bind AFTV contractually.

Elevated accounts may be subject to separate agreements concerning:

Confidentiality;
Editorial standards;
Artificial intelligence;
Intellectual property;
compensation;
Conflicts of interest;
Sponsorship disclosures;
Security;
Records and source material; and
Termination.

AFTV may change or withdraw elevated permissions at any time, subject to any controlling written agreement.

27. Feature availability

AFTV may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any account or community feature.

We do not guarantee that:

Registration will remain open;
Comments will remain available;
A particular account type will continue;
Profiles or discussion histories will be retained;
Community Content will remain visible;
A feature will work on every device;
Account information will be portable to another service; or
An account will provide the same capabilities over time.

AFTV may conduct tests or release features to limited groups without making them available to all users.

28. Disclaimers and limitation of responsibility

Account and community features are provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AFTV does not warrant that:

Accounts will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
Every user is who they claim to be;
Every comment will be accurate or lawful;
Moderation will detect every violation;
AI moderation will be correct;
Harmful content will be removed immediately;
Removed content can be restored;
Account information will never be accessed unlawfully; or
Community participation will produce any particular result.

AFTV’s Terms and Conditions, including warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification provisions, apply to account and community use.

Nothing in this Account Policy excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.

29. Changes to this Account Policy

AFTV may interpret and apply this Account Policy using a context-specific and risk-based approach.

We may revise, replace, or supplement it as account features, technologies, business practices, community risks, or legal obligations evolve.

We are not required to revise the public policy for every:

WordPress update;
Plugin change;
Moderation vendor;
AI model;
Account role;
Feature adjustment;
Enforcement method; or
Minor operational change.

Material revisions will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date and providing additional notice where required by law.

Continued use of an account after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
