These Commenter Terms and Conditions (“Commenter Terms”) govern profiles, comments, replies, reactions, reports, and other material submitted through comment or community features controlled by American Fashion TV (“AFTV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They are intended to protect AFTV’s editorial independence, users, rights holders, systems, and community.
Effective date: August 28, 2026

1. Agreement to these Commenter Terms
Before creating a comment profile, you must affirmatively agree to these Commenter Terms. By selecting the agreement checkbox and submitting a registration or profile-creation request, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Commenter Terms and agree to be legally bound by them.
If you do not agree, do not create a profile, submit a comment, or use an AFTV comment or community feature. Acceptance of these Commenter Terms is not consent to receive marketing communications.
AFTV may maintain records of your acceptance, including the policy version, date and time, account or profile identifier, and reasonably necessary technical information, to operate the service, prevent abuse, demonstrate consent, and establish or defend legal claims.
2. Related AFTV policies
These Commenter Terms supplement and incorporate AFTV’s Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Editorial Standards, and Artificial Intelligence and Synthetic Media Policy. Together, those documents govern your use of AFTV’s services.
If a provision of these Commenter Terms conflicts with AFTV’s general Terms and Conditions, these Commenter Terms control only with respect to comment profiles and community activity. The general Terms and Conditions continue to govern all other use of the service, including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, jurisdiction, and general legal provisions.
3. Eligibility
You may create a comment profile only if you are at least 16 years old, meet any higher minimum age required where you live, and are legally capable of accepting these Commenter Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Do not create a profile if you are prohibited from using the service under applicable law or if AFTV previously suspended or terminated your access and has not authorized your return.
AFTV may request reasonable information to confirm eligibility, identity, authority, or compliance. AFTV does not undertake a general duty to independently verify every user’s age or identity.
4. Limited, revocable access
A comment profile provides a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable privilege to use the features AFTV makes available. It does not create an ownership interest, permanent entitlement, employment relationship, partnership, agency, accreditation, right to publish, or right to continued access.
AFTV may approve, decline, delay, limit, condition, suspend, or withdraw registration or access. Automated profile creation or prior approval of a comment does not prevent later review or enforcement.
5. Registration information and profile identity
You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and not misleading. You may not create a profile using false identity, age, credentials, employment, affiliation, or authority.
Your display name, profile image, biography, website link, comments, replies, and other public profile elements may be visible to the public. Your email address will not ordinarily be displayed publicly unless you choose to publish it or a feature clearly states otherwise.
You may not use a name, image, biography, or identifier that:
- Impersonates another person or organization;
- Falsely suggests employment, verification, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation;
- Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, or another right;
- Contains another person’s private contact information;
- Is deceptive, abusive, threatening, hateful, obscene, or unlawful;
- Promotes a product, service, campaign, or website without permission; or
- Circumvents a prior restriction, suspension, or termination.
AFTV may reject, change, reclaim, hide, or require modification of any display name, profile image, biography, link, or other identifier. Profile identifiers do not become the property of users.
6. Account security and responsibility
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and devices, maintaining current contact information, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access through AFTV’s contact page. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, transfer, share, or give away a profile or create one for another person without authorization.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your profile to the extent permitted by law. AFTV may require password resets, renewed acceptance, email confirmation, multifactor authentication, or other security measures. We may restrict access when we detect or suspect compromise, fraud, automation, credential sharing, enforcement evasion, or another security risk.
7. Community Content
“Community Content” means comments, replies, usernames, profile information, links, images, reactions, reports, feedback, and any other material submitted through an AFTV comment profile or community feature.
You retain any ownership rights you have in original Community Content. You are solely responsible for Community Content you submit and for the consequences of submitting it.
8. License granted to AFTV
By submitting Community Content, you grant AFTV a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, transmit, format, resize, excerpt, translate, caption, moderate, classify, analyze, technically adapt, and otherwise use that Community Content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, secure, promote, document, and enforce AFTV’s services and policies.
This license permits AFTV to display Community Content with your public profile; include excerpts in AFTV editorial, promotional, social, archival, moderation, evidentiary, or legal materials; and make technical changes needed for accessibility, compatibility, formatting, or safety. AFTV will not ordinarily rewrite the substantive meaning of a comment and attribute the rewritten statement to you.
The license continues while the Community Content remains on AFTV’s services and for a reasonable period in backups, logs, archives, moderation records, legal files, syndicated material, screenshots, and previously created promotional or editorial material. Deleting a profile does not necessarily withdraw or remove previously submitted Community Content.
9. Your representations and warranties
Each time you submit Community Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You created it or have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions necessary to submit it and grant the license above;
- It is accurate to the extent you present it as fact and is not deliberately misleading;
- It does not violate applicable law, a court order, or another person’s rights;
- It does not breach confidentiality, employment, contractual, fiduciary, or other obligations;
- It does not contain malware, harmful code, or concealed technical instructions;
- Any endorsement, commercial relationship, free product, payment, employment, or other material connection relevant to the comment is clearly disclosed; and
- Your submission and AFTV’s permitted use of it will not require AFTV to pay you or obtain additional permission from you or a third party.
10. Community standards
AFTV welcomes relevant disagreement, criticism, and discussion. Community Content may be held, rejected, restricted, or removed if AFTV believes it includes, promotes, solicits, or facilitates:
- Threats, violence, incitement, stalking, targeted harassment, or encouragement of serious harm;
- Hateful, dehumanizing, or discriminatory attacks based on a protected characteristic;
- Sexual exploitation, abuse, predatory conduct, nonconsensual intimate material, or sexual content involving minors;
- Doxxing, private personal information, credentials, financial information, private medical information, or information creating a safety risk;
- Defamation, impersonation, fraud, phishing, fabricated credentials, deceptive synthetic media, or coordinated inauthentic behavior;
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights violations;
- Spam, repetitive content, affiliate links, undisclosed advertising, commercial solicitation, lead generation, recruitment schemes, automated posting, or search manipulation;
- Malware, harmful code, instructions for wrongdoing, unlawful transactions, or attempts to compromise AFTV or another service;
- Body shaming, encouragement of eating disorders or self-harm, unlawful medication promotion, deceptive treatment claims, diagnosis of another person, or dangerous individualized advice;
- False reports, irrelevant link dumping, deliberate thread disruption, excessive repetition, attempts to dominate a discussion, or other conduct that materially reduces its usefulness;
- Content copied from an AI system, third party, or source without necessary review, disclosure, rights, or attribution; or
- Any other content or conduct AFTV reasonably believes may create legal, safety, security, reputational, editorial, or operational risk.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. Context matters. AFTV may permit quotation or discussion of sensitive material for reporting, criticism, education, or other legitimate purposes while restricting the same material when used to endorse, target, deceive, exploit, or facilitate harm.
11. No spam, automation, scraping, or manipulation
You may not use bots, scripts, coordinated accounts, deceptive identities, artificial engagement, scraping, bulk posting, credential stuffing, rate-limit evasion, or similar methods to create profiles, submit Community Content, collect user information, manipulate visibility, or interfere with AFTV’s systems.
You may not test or probe AFTV’s security, moderation, or abuse-prevention systems without prior written authorization. AFTV may use technical and legal measures to investigate, restrict, and prevent prohibited activity.
12. Fashion, health, body, and professional topics
Fashion discussions may involve bodies, appearance, beauty, wellness, medications, cosmetic procedures, weight, disability, identity, mental health, money, law, safety, or other consequential topics. Community Content is not medical, legal, financial, investment, safety, or other professional advice.
You may not present individualized professional advice as authoritative unless you are appropriately qualified, identify relevant limitations, and comply with applicable law. AFTV may apply heightened moderation to consequential claims and may remove them even when they are sincerely expressed.
13. Public nature of participation
Community Content is a public communication, not a confidential message to AFTV. It may be indexed by search engines, quoted, copied, embedded, screenshotted, archived, translated, summarized, shared on social media, or processed by third parties.
Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or private information that you do not want made public. AFTV cannot control copies made or retained by other users, search engines, archives, social networks, data services, or other independent parties.
14. Comments are not AFTV statements or verified facts
Community Content reflects the views and responsibility of the user who submitted it. It does not necessarily reflect the views of AFTV, its owners, personnel, contributors, advertisers, partners, or service providers.
Publication, approval, moderation, highlighting, ranking, failure to remove, or delayed removal does not constitute AFTV’s endorsement, verification, adoption, or agreement. AFTV does not guarantee a commenter’s identity, qualifications, motives, accuracy, originality, disclosure practices, or good faith. Readers should independently evaluate Community Content and should not rely on it as verified fact or professional advice.
15. Moderation and editorial discretion
AFTV’s comment areas are curated extensions of a privately operated editorial publication. They are not government-operated public forums. AFTV does not promise viewpoint neutrality, equal distribution, publication of every lawful comment, identical enforcement, or continued availability of a discussion.
AFTV may moderate before or after publication. Moderation may include human review, automated spam controls, artificial intelligence, keyword or link detection, pattern analysis, account history, user reports, rate limits, and third-party services. These systems can make mistakes. The presence of moderation does not mean every visible comment has been reviewed or approved.
AFTV may, in its discretion and without assuming a general duty to monitor:
- Approve, reject, hold, label, limit, deprioritize, or remove Community Content;
- Remove links, attachments, formatting, or prohibited portions;
- Close replies, lock discussions, disable comments, or discontinue a feature;
- Restrict posting frequency, visibility, or account capabilities;
- Require verification or renewed policy acceptance;
- Temporarily suspend or permanently terminate profiles;
- Prevent creation of replacement profiles;
- Preserve evidence and relevant records; or
- Refer a matter to a service provider, rights holder, legal adviser, regulator, law-enforcement agency, or other authority.
AFTV is not required to use the least restrictive action. We may prioritize matters based on severity, context, recency, visibility, available evidence, resources, legal obligations, and risks to users, third parties, or AFTV.
16. No guaranteed notice, appeal, or restoration
Except where required by law, AFTV does not guarantee advance notice, a warning, a detailed explanation, an opportunity to edit, an appeal, a response within a particular period, restoration of removed content, or reinstatement of a profile.
Failure to enforce a rule immediately or in one instance does not waive AFTV’s right to enforce it later or in another instance. Different circumstances may receive different treatment.
17. Reports, rights complaints, and safety concerns
Suspected policy violations may be reported through AFTV’s contact page. A report should identify the relevant profile, comment, URL, reason for the report, supporting information, and any immediate safety concern. False, abusive, retaliatory, or automated reports are prohibited.
Submitting a report does not guarantee removal, account action, confidentiality, disclosure of an investigation, or a particular response. Immediate threats to life or safety should be reported to the appropriate emergency authority rather than relying solely on AFTV.
Copyright complaints should follow the process in AFTV’s Terms and Conditions. Privacy-rights requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.
18. Suspension and termination
AFTV may restrict, suspend, or terminate a profile or related access when it reasonably believes that a user or profile violated an AFTV policy; supplied false or misleading information; infringed another person’s rights; created legal, safety, security, reputational, editorial, or operational risk; engaged in spam, automation, fraud, or enforcement evasion; was compromised; or is associated with a discontinued feature.
Serious or repeated conduct may result in immediate permanent termination. Enforcement may extend to reasonably associated profiles, email addresses, devices, network identifiers, or access methods where permitted by law.
AFTV may retain information concerning restricted or terminated profiles to prevent abuse, investigate incidents, preserve evidence, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce its policies.
19. Profile deletion and retention
You may request profile deletion through an available profile tool or AFTV’s contact page. Profile deletion and personal-data erasure are related but are not necessarily the same process.
Deleting a profile may not remove previously published Community Content. AFTV may retain, anonymize, attribute, remove, or continue displaying it where permitted by law, including to preserve the coherence of a discussion, maintain archives, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, or establish or defend claims.
Information may remain for a reasonable period in backups, logs, security records, moderation systems, archives, legal files, or third-party systems. Additional details appear in the Privacy Policy.
20. Third-party services and links
Comment and profile features may rely on WordPress, hosting, security, authentication, anti-spam, moderation, analytics, artificial-intelligence, communications, or other service providers. Those providers may process information for AFTV as described in the Privacy Policy.
Community Content may contain links to independent services. AFTV does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, products, services, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily indicate endorsement, affiliation, or verification.
21. Disclaimers specific to community features
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMMENT PROFILES, COMMUNITY FEATURES, AND COMMUNITY CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” AFTV DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THEY WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, ACCURATE, COMPLETE, SUITABLE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL OR OFFENSIVE MATERIAL.
AFTV DOES NOT WARRANT THAT EVERY USER IS WHO THEY CLAIM TO BE; THAT EVERY COMMENT IS LAWFUL, ORIGINAL, ACCURATE, OR PROPERLY DISCLOSED; THAT MODERATION WILL IDENTIFY EVERY VIOLATION; THAT HARMFUL CONTENT WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY; OR THAT REMOVED CONTENT OR A TERMINATED PROFILE CAN BE RESTORED.
The additional warranty disclaimers and limitations in AFTV’s Terms and Conditions apply to all comment and community activity.
22. Limitation of liability and release
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AFTV AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRIBUTORS, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, MODERATORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR COMMUNITY CONTENT; USER CONDUCT; MODERATION DECISIONS; LOSS OF ACCESS, DATA, REPUTATION, OR OPPORTUNITY; OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO COMMENT OR COMMUNITY FEATURES.
You assume the risks of interacting with other users and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, release the AFTV parties identified above from claims arising solely from disputes between you and another user. Nothing in these Commenter Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
The liability cap and other limitations in AFTV’s Terms and Conditions apply to these Commenter Terms.
23. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AFTV and its owners, officers, employees, contributors, contractors, licensors, moderators, and service providers from claims, demands, investigations, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from or related to:
- Your Community Content;
- Your profile or community activity;
- Your violation of these Commenter Terms or another AFTV policy;
- Your violation of law or another person’s rights;
- Your fraud, misrepresentation, negligence, or misconduct; or
- A dispute between you and another user or third party caused by your conduct.
AFTV may assume control of the defense of a matter subject to indemnification, and you agree to cooperate reasonably with that defense. You may not settle a claim imposing liability, admission, payment, or obligation on AFTV without AFTV’s prior written consent.
24. Changes to these Commenter Terms
AFTV may revise, replace, or supplement these Commenter Terms as community features, technologies, risks, business practices, or legal obligations evolve. We are not required to revise this page for every plugin, vendor, moderation tool, account role, feature adjustment, or enforcement method.
Material revisions may be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and providing additional notice or requesting renewed acceptance where required by law or considered appropriate. Continued use after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
25. General legal terms
The governing-law, jurisdiction, severability, no-waiver, assignment, survival, and other general provisions in AFTV’s Terms and Conditions apply to these Commenter Terms. If any provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
AFTV’s failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Sections concerning rights, licenses, public content, records, disclaimers, liability, release, indemnification, and dispute-related provisions survive profile deletion or termination to the extent necessary to give them effect.
26. Contact
Questions or reports concerning comment profiles, Community Content, or these Commenter Terms may be submitted through AFTV’s contact page.
